Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This page is the English translation of our FrenchPolitique de confidentialité, which is the legally binding version under French law.
EduChatbot is a product whose promise rests on data protection, so it seems only fair to apply to our own website what we promise our customers. This policy explains, plainly, what data we collect oneduchatbot.fr, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights.
1. Data controller
The controller for the data collected on this site is Agel Partners,[TO BE COMPLETED: legal form, share capital, registered office, SIREN], publisher of the site (see the legal notice).
For any question about your personal data:[TO BE COMPLETED: dedicated GDPR email address].[TO BE COMPLETED: contact details of the Data Protection Officer (DPO), if one has been appointed]
2. Data we collect
Demo request form
This is the only form on the site. It collects exactly three pieces of information, all provided voluntarily by you:
- Your name;
- Your institution;
- Your work email.
No other field is collected, no data is inferred or enriched from external sources, and there is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
Chatbot conversations
The conversations shown on the home page are animated illustrations: they are not interactive and collect nothing. No message you may read on this site is recorded, because there is nothing to record.
When the EduChatbot chatbot is deployed on a customer institution's website, the exchanges with visitors (questions asked, contact details shared with consent, appointments booked) are processed on behalf of that institution: the institution is the data controller and Agel Partners acts as aprocessor, under a contract compliant with article 28 of the GDPR. This policy covers educhatbot.fr only.
Audience measurement
This site uses no audience measurement tool that sets cookies or collects personal data. Where audience measurement is enabled, the resulting statistics are aggregated and cannot identify you: seeCookies and audience measurement below.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to your demo request and getting back to you about it (scheduling the appointment and the discussions that follow). Legal basis: your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the form, together with the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request (articles 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).
- Measuring site traffic, where that measurement is enabled, in an aggregated, anonymous way, in order to improve our content. Legal basis: our legitimate interestin understanding how our site is used (article 6.1.f GDPR), by means of a tool that uses no cookies and no personal data.
We do not use your data for prospecting unrelated to your request, and we do not run targeted advertising.
4. Retention periods
- Demo requests: kept for 3 years from your last contact with us (in line with the French CNIL's guidance on business-to-business prospecting), then deleted or anonymised.
- If you become a customer: data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship, then for the applicable statutory retention periods (accounting obligations in particular).
- Traffic statistics, where audience measurement is enabled: aggregated and free of personal data, they allow no identification and are never linked back to an individual.
5. Recipients
Your data is accessible only to the people who need it in order to handle your request: the sales and admissions teams of Agel Partners and EKOLE, and our strictly necessary technical service providers (hosting, form delivery, email), acting as processors and bound by contract.
- Website hosting provider:[TO BE COMPLETED: hosting provider's legal name and the country its servers are located in];
- Receipt and storage of demo requests:[TO BE COMPLETED: legal name of the provider receiving the form and the country its servers are located in].
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with any third party for commercial or advertising purposes. It is not used to train artificial intelligence models.
Transfers outside the European Union. Whether any transfer takes place depends on the providers listed above. It will be stated here as soon as they are appointed:[TO BE COMPLETED: state whether any data is transferred outside the European Union and, if so, the destination country and the safeguards framing the transfer — adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses…]
6. Hosting and security
The website is hosted by[TO BE COMPLETED: hosting provider's legal name and datacenter locations]. Demo requests submitted through the form are transmitted to and stored by[TO BE COMPLETED: legal name of the provider receiving the form and the location of its servers].
Whatever the infrastructure: traffic to and from the site is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), access to the data is restricted to authorised staff, and each customer institution's data is strictly isolated from the others.
7. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you;
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Right to erasure: ask for your data to be deleted;
- Right to object: object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- Right to restriction: ask for processing to be temporarily frozen;
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal;
- Right to give directions regarding the fate of your data after your death (French law).
To exercise these rights, write to[TO BE COMPLETED: dedicated GDPR email address]. We may ask for proof of identity where there is reasonable doubt about who is making the request, and we will reply within one month at the latest.
8. Lodging a complaint with the CNIL
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): 3 place de Fontenoy — TSA 80715 — 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or online at www.cnil.fr.
9. Cookies and audience measurement
This site sets no advertising cookie, no social network cookie and no cross-site tracker.That is precisely why you were not asked to click a consent banner on arrival: there is nothing to consent to.
The only audience measurement tool we use, where that measurement is enabled on the site, isPlausible Analytics, a European, privacy-first analytics tool: itsets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, does not use fingerprinting and collects no personal data. It cannot identify you, follow you across websites, or reconstruct your journey across several visits. Only aggregated statistics are produced: number of visits, pages viewed, device type, country, referring site. No other measurement or tracking tool is used.
Because it works without cookies and without personal data, this tool falls within the CNIL's criteria for audience measurement that is exempt from consent: no consent is required, and no banner is displayed.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site, to our tools, or to the applicable regulations. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page. In the event of a substantial change, we will inform the people concerned.
